Tiny Dolphin’s newest single is a nearly six-minute chill-out track of indie decadence.

Tiny Dolphin is the solo project of multi-instrumentalist Alex Fisher, who’s currently based out of Austin, Texas—although he’s lived in cities all over the globe including Montreal, Munich, and London.

That worldly experience has manifested in a particularly eclectic music style that can mostly be described as melancholically groovy.

On “Lasso”, his latest single following the release of his well-received first LP, Fisher soothes and croons, showcasing his impressive vocal chops and controlled multi-instrumental abilities.

Seeming to adopt a boost in production value since his first record, an album that was recorded entirely in Fisher’s bedroom, “Lasso” is brimming with warm melodies and ethereal soundscapes.

The track features sonic elements similar to The National and Coldplay, but is coated with a sweet layer of exuberance, resulting in an utterly unique sound.

Tiny Dolphin has certainly come a long way since his bedroom pop roots, and his newest material seems to mark an exciting new trajectory for the young artist.
