Healing and melancholy drift through every word and pacing on this soft, calmly emotive piece from Brooklyn-based duo The Bergamot. An interestingly empathetic, gentle track that reflects Nathaniel Paul Hoff’s love towards his brother, “Bones” is a reinvigorating anthem that touches the soul and gives it respite from suffering.
The discreet breathing, the space that pervades the mood, the buildup, and the interpolation of electronic-folk euphony into the song’s very spine put the message on full display. “It’s hard to carry a burden/ If you don’t have any bones,” it goes. Such were the words Hoff told his brother following the latter’s discharge from rehab.
This track right here is a perfect example of an inspirational song that someone somewhere needs to hear now; a gem that even deserves a curtain call for being a personal letter to a brother first.

Sam is a mediocre artist, musician, and the founder and editor in chief of UNXIGNED. He is a Juris Doctor who leads an excitingly boring life in the confines of his room juggling studies with passion and dreams. He is terrible at finding balance but gets by anyhow. He wants you to follow his artist pages and channels for when he decides to up his game. Pretty open for collabs and will mix your would-be hit song for cheap.
