Sometimes we just want to listen to something that’s fun and doesn’t take itself too seriously. In a market full of songs that focus on the more serious and darker themes in life, it’s a breath of fresh air to see something with a message while giving the satisfaction of turning your brain off and appreciating everything it has to offer.

Sharkorama‘s “You Dunno” is best described with three words: an absolute treat. At its core though, is its message: “you don’t know about me, or what I can do.” It’s a statement, really. That you just have to believe in yourself, and not rely on anyone else to do so for you.

It tears down the societal norm of having others’ impressions of you define who you are. Yes, there may be times in our lives when we have no idea where we’re going, or what we truly want, but it’s us, and not them.

The song’s instrumental is jangly, full of guitar and raw beats that accent the track throughout its runtime. Complementing this is the nostalgic effect put on the vocals which give it a nice fuzzy feeling reminiscent of songs from the late ’70s.

Overall, it’s something you’d want to listen to while on your daily drive, giving you good vibes and encouraging you to just keep going and let the haters be.
