New Arcades‘ latest offering is dredged with electrifying elements of air, depth, and luster. It not only sees Dean Canty and Adam Sullivan bathing in what feels like an overcast of nostalgic, lukewarm emotional entropy, it also brings up front the duo’s very flair for weaving compelling rhythms and memorable pop sutures.

“Together Again” is a glossy electronic alt-rock piece injected with a dose of absorbing synth-pop solution. Think M83 meet Yellowcard. Lyrically and conceptually, this new number from New Arcades can well be described as the sequel to their first 2020 single, “Yours“.

“Escapism, and nostalgia… these are a few of the ingredients that have gone into a song like this,” Canty and Sullivan wrote in an official statement. Combining chorus-and-reverb-drenched guitars, luminously hypnotic synths, and soaring vocal contours, the London-based twosome introduce a unique, intimate electro-pop tonality like no other. “Lyrically it’s a cinematic tail [sic] of escapism and a runaway story, with the hope of reunion with someone that means the most to you.”

Known for their ’80s-inspired sound, New Arcades first emerged in 2014 with “You’re All I’ve Got” and have since grown into one of the UK’s most exciting acts. Stream “Together Again” below and make sure to follow the gentlemen.
