The light and bouncy track carries you on a spirit of longing. “Lou Lou, I’m coming back to you,” they declare. The reverb on their voice hints at a remembered perfection. The bright guitar sprinkled across the chorus evokes a trek across the map.
At one point, the heartfelt chest voice of the melody is doubled by a falsetto descant. The moment feels as transient as Lou Lou’s presence in their life. It’s both a beautiful and heartbreaking moment in context.
By the time the song ramps up for the close, choral vocalizations swell under the instrumentations. There’s a sense of belonging even as you realize the track’s ending.
