Aaron. — Happy Balloon

The widely known “Serenity Prayer” asks for the serenity to accept the things you cannot change, the courage to change the things you can, and the wisdom to know the difference. Aaron. takes that same sentiment and floats a cheery metaphor through it in “Happy Balloon”.

Everything about “Happy Balloon” has a zen-like underpinning. It’s ok to just be in the moment and float along. Even the opening lyrics have a passive quality to them. “I guess I’ll wait for you to come.”

The guitar and voice combo pulls you in with light touches on both. But then they also take flight at moments. There are soaring melodies that float over long held notes.

And sprinkled throughout are multilayered lyrics. “I’ll follow you into the blue,” Aaron. sings, “I’ll be there to want you.” The easy rhyme hides a profound thought.
