Mark your calendars as Kwaknit Collective is set to ignite the stage in Gio's Crib at Calle Cinco on June 25, 2024, for a special edition of its Kwaknights series: We Are Not Your Kind. The event, which is among the pocket stages for the first-ever celebration of Fête de la Musique in Davao City, will feature several up-and-coming bands from across the metro.

Music lovers can attend performances at various stages throughout the city from June 21 to 29, allowing for a truly exciting opportunity to find new music and get to know many budding acts. For the Kwaknights special, the lineup includes Creek, adult sunday school, Quora, Heather's Asleep, Luvoir, Havenway, Krooked, and Quarterlife Crisis, all of which consist of members aged under 30. According to Kwaknit founder Wolf Quorthon, the We Are Not Your Kind gig aims to showcase exceptional Gen Z talents, being the King City of the South's next generation of alternative artists.

Fête de la Musique originated in France in 1982 and has since been celebrated in over 1,000 cities worldwide. It is an annual, free event dedicated to promoting music, arts, and culture. The festival debuted in the Philippines 30 years ago through Fête de la Musique Philippines and has finally made its way to Davao this year, thanks to Holodeck Productions and other music promotion outfits like Kwaknit itself.
