Franco Reyes recovering after accident, band forced to cancel Sinulog 2025 performance

Filipino rock band FRANCO will no longer be performing at the highly anticipated Sinulog 2025 festival in Cebu following an accident involving frontman Franco Reyes.

In a Facebook post published Thursday, January 9, they expressed their sadness over the situation. "We deeply regret not being able to join the celebration this year," they wrote, nevertheless assuring fans they "remain optimistic about returning to the stage as soon as possible under better circumstances."

While the group did not provide further details about the accident, they confirmed that Reyes is currently receiving medical treatment. "He is currently under medical supervision and we are hoping for his speedy recovery." The band also thanked their followers for their unwavering support as they "look forward to rocking with you all again soon."

FRANCO has long become a household name in Philippine rock, with hit songs like "Castaway" and "This Gathering". Their self-titled debut album earned them widespread recognition in 2010, with the band sweeping the NU Rock Awards and taking home multiple honors, including Artist of the Year and Song of the Year. The group is currently composed of its namesake Reyes, Paul Cañada on guitar, Dave Delfin on bass, and Victor Guison on drums.
