The OPM icon’s death happened only a couple of weeks following the band’s decision to dissolve, which principally stemmed from a royalty dispute involving the singer.
As of press time several sources claim that Garcia’s passing is reportedly a case of suicide by hanging, although such information has yet to be confirmed.
This is a developing story.
Update:
Garcia’s sister, Cheloana, has executed a written waiver manifesting that they are no longer interested in conducting further investigation as their family is convinced that the singer took his own life (via CNN Philippines).
