Debut singles are always a big hurdle for artists. After all, it’s your first song; it’s natural to worry about how good it is, or if people are even going to think about listening to it. But this new music duo has it down, and amazingly so.
Dreaming Soda have released their first-ever single, “Caramel”, a song that you can’t really taste, but it can make you feel like you can. The duo comprises Ella Starland and Renee Stein, with this song just being a sneak peek into their upcoming EP and comic book project named Just Before the Internet. The EP will mainly be for those stuck in between being part of Gen Z and millennials, but it’ll definitely have something for everyone.
Honestly, listening to it is just like biting a piece off of a sweet, caramel cookie after a long and tiring day. It gives off a sort of euphoria that’s absolutely unmatched. A joy that you feel can’t be beaten. Well, at least for the time being. But hey, when that high is gone, at least you can do it all over again.
The artists describe “Caramel” as a truly happy song, one that doesn’t have anything else but pure unbridled happiness all throughout. It evokes a feeling of nostalgia, as if you were a kid again, running to the kitchen after having a whiff of the snack that you exactly needed. And now that you’re older, you’re gonna need a bit more to ride that high again. But don’t worry, Dreaming Soda have you covered.

Hans is an engineering student with a growing dismay for math. As ironic as that sounds, he’s always looking for a break from digesting numbers and symbols by indulging in things he likes instead: music, writing, and video games. This guy is also the type to hog the microphone on karaoke night, so be careful when you’re inviting him for some singing over drinks.
