Ghost Wounds spin disillusionment and desire into bangers with debut EP Slow Apocalypse

Ghost Wounds' debut EP Slow Apocalypse kicks down the door from track one to the final beat. While the digital release is already live, the two-track vinyl seven-inch drops on August 1. However you choose to rock out, Ghost Wounds' visceral intensity is as raw as it is reflective. Diving deep into personal loss, societal failure, and the existential dread of a world decaying, these are anthems for a disillusioned generation.

The first track and lead single, "Fate of Lust", goes personal. The turmoil of misdirected love and attraction hits from the first lines, "As time slips by, I fear inside a fate of lust." Desperation drips from the devastation.

Shifting from personal to national, "Crossed Heirs" cuts with lines like "this is a cult, not a culture" and "flags always at half-mast. Is this what we've become?" The track paints a grim picture of a national legacy we no longer recognize nor accept.

The EP closes with "Inferno", a disillusioned questioning of the establishment. With repeated words like "rising" and "consequence," and echoing guitar hooks reverberating in a destructive cycle, every beat questions the status quo—"What's the consequence?"

Slow Apocalypse is unapologetically unfiltered. Fears and frustrations fall one after power chord-punctated one. Keep your ears open for whatever this trio does next.
